Reineke Co., manufacturer of the PressureGuard tire inflation system, has become the exclusive distributor to the heavy-duty truck market of the new Tire-SafeGuard tire monitoring system.

The Tire-SafeGuard system automatically monitors tractor vehicle tires and provides a timely warning of abnormal tire pressure and temperature, according to Reineke. Pressure readings can easily be seen on the system display, said the company, eliminating the need for the driver to manually check the tires.

A sensor, which mounts to the tire's rim, monitors up to 10 tires plus a spare in real-time. An LCD monitor, which mounts in the cab, indicates pressure and temperature for each tire. The system is wired to the vehicle's battery, which allows it to operate even while the vehicle is parked, noted Reineke.
