Improved liftgates

Thieman Tailgates has made several improvements to its M-Series stowaway liftgate. The M-Series, for example, is now available in a 3,000-lb. capacity model with a platform size of 72- by 36-in. plus 6-in. ramp or 84- by 36-in. plus 6-in. ramp. The 1,600-, 2,000-, and 2,500-lb. Thieman Tailgates has made several improvements to its M-Series stowaway liftgate.

The M-Series, for example, is now available in a 3,000-lb. capacity model with a platform size of 72- by 36-in. plus 6-in. ramp or 84- by 36-in. plus 6-in. ramp.

The 1,600-, 2,000-, and 2,500-lb. M-Series models are now available with a platform size of 84- by 42-in. plus 10-in. aluminum flip ramp. This is a wedge style platform, the manufacturer explains, which means it has a slight tilt from the rear of the platform to the ground.

In addition, the M-gate's optional pintle hook attachment is no longer a bolt-on style. The new attachment uses a 2-in. receiver tube for towing.

Thieman also announced that it has increased the lift capacity of its TT-15 Toplifter Series liftgate. The liftgate manufacturer says the TT-15 with a 42- or 44-in. platform is now rated at 1,500-lb. capacity. The Toplifter has Nitroec pins and Polylube bushings.
