Paccar Parts has announced it will incentivize the sale of idle reduction, engine-off cooling and heating technology manufactured by Webasto to North American Peterbilt and Kenworth dealerships.

According to Paccar Parts, during May and June the company will offer the Webasto BlueCool Truck (BCT) CARB-approved bunk cooler and Webasto heater at a reduced cost.

Combined, the two technologies allow a truck’s bunk to be warmed or cooled without the need for idling, saving approximately 19 gallons of fuel over a 20 hour period, leading to a possible savings of up to $750 per month in fuel, the company said.
