Petro-Canada announced the introduction of an API CJ-4 certified heavy-duty engine oil line, Duron-E. In addition to being appropriate for EPA ‘07-compliant diesel engines, the new oil is backwards-compatible and can be used in pre-'07 trucks.

An extension of the company's Duron line, Duron-E is available in three performance levels: Duron-E 15W-40, Duron-E XL synthetic 15W-40, and Duron-E Synthetic 10W-40. Petro-Canada, Duron-E has demonstrated “extended drain capabilities in severe-service field trials in both EGR and conventional diesel engines.
