Chevron Products has introduced two CJ-4 compliant heavy-duty engine oils: Chevron RPM LE SAE 15W-40 and Texaco Ursa Super Plus EC SAE 15W-40. Both are backwards-compatible, meeting the CI-4 Plus specs as well. They replace the CI-4 Plus only versions.

The new formulations, which are appropriate for use with ultra-low-sulfur diesel, provide improved anti-oxidation, anti-wear performance and deposit control at a “lower price point than premium brands,” according to Chevron.

Chevron RPM LE and Texaco Ursa Super Plus EC both have CAT ECF-3 approval, as well as the ECF-2 approval of the earlier versions.
