The new HDL2 DL drive tire is designed to provide long mileage in over-the-road long-haul applications, according to Continental Tire North America. The heavy-duty truck tire features a 32/32-in. tread depth to maximize removal mileage, the company said.

Despite the deep-drive lugs, the tire’s closed shoulder tread design resists irregular wear, according to Continental. The lug is also said to provide excellent wet and dry traction throughout the life of the original tire, and a patented groove technology reduces stone retention and casing damage.

The HDL2 DL is offered in sizes 11R22.5, 275/80R22.5, 11R24.5 and 285/75R24.5. It is manufactured at Continental’s Mt. Vernon, IL, plant.
