Jerr-Dan Corp., an Oshkosh Corp. company, has released three new products aimed at the towing and recovery equipment market. The Premium 6-Ton carrier bed is 50% stronger than most standard-duty carrier beds, providing twice the structural strength of traditional angle iron rub rails. Available in 19-ft., 20-ft. and 21-ft. lengths, the standard 102-in. wide deck features a full-length, 10-gauge 50 ksi pressed-diamond decking, while six-in. cross members improve corrosion protection and provide 5% more strength than other 12-in. spaced designs, the company said.

The 50-Ton Integrated Wrecker is a large capacity integrated recovery and towing system. According to the company, it features the longest boom of any integrated wrecker, with a 174-in. reach past the tailboard at 0 degrees, as well as the industry’s longest underlift, with a standard reach of 141 in. at 17,000 lbs. when fully extended and 53,000 lbs. when extended.

The Integrated Wrecker also contains a vertical lift feature that allows immediate clearance of under chassis obstructions for easier pickup of vehicles with low positioned oil pans on the first lift, the company said.

Based on Aero Industries Conestoga 2 rolling tarp system, Jerr-Dan’s rolling tarp model is designed to easily cover and uncover a carrier deck in seconds. It features a patented wheel and track system, a rear-locking system to increase the tarp’s tension, and spring shocks on the uplift bows reduce vibration from road conditions, the company said.
