Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) has announced the addition of two sizes to its Firestone FD690 Plus deep drive axle radial tires

Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) has announced the addition of two sizes to its Firestone FD690 Plus deep drive axle radial tires. The 225/70R19.5 and 245/70R19.5 tire sizes are now available at Firestone commercial tire dealers and truckstops.

According to the company, the FD690 Plus’s continuous shoulder design is engineered to combat irregular wear, while the aggressive block/lug design adds stability against tread squirm and fights heel and toe wear.

“The FD690 Plus has provided great removal mileage in both single and tandem drive axle applications,” said Guy Walenga, director, engineering, commercial products and technologies, Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire, LLC. “It’s in use with small fleets and owner-operators who run coast-to-coast or regionally in pickup and delivery applications. The addition of these new sizes allows us to better serve pickup and delivery fleets with smaller trucks or straight trucks.”
