The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has announced new retread designs for the G287 MSA, G282 MSD and G558 WTD tires will be available in the first quarter of 2009

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has announced new retread designs for the G287 MSA, G282 MSD and G558 WTD tires will be available in the first quarter of 2009.

According to the company, the new tread for the G287 MSA features an open center lug design for enhanced wear; optimized tread design for improved traction, and mixed service and rubber compounds for longer tread life. Available in 8.5” and 9.875” widths, the retread has a tread depth of 26/32.”

Also with a 26/32” tread depth, the G282 tread is available for both UniCircle and flat retreads, featuring off-road capabilities, optimized tread depth and improved mileage, the company said. It is available in 8”, 8.5,” 9” and 9.5” widths.

The G558 WTD retread design features Goodyear’s TredLock Technology for superior traction and an open shoulder design for improved drivability in wet and snowy conditions, the company said. It is available in 8.5” and 9” widths, with a tread depth of 25/32.”
