The new 22,500-lb. capacity HCA features a one-piece 5-in. round axle bar with hot-formed spindles and the company's proprietary axle filter for internal venting. Drums, five-spoke hubs and e-coated brake shoes are also standard for the fully dressed axle package. Other low-maintenance standard features for the chassis axle include hardened machined cam heads, journals and splines, and an oil-impregnated bronze spider bushing.

Options offered by Hendrickson for its new chassis axle include extended service brakes, hub-piloted hubs and drums, extended brake-shoe warranties, and ABS alternatives.
