A line of International-branded brake drums has been introduced by Navistar, ensuring that International Trucks owners can purchase a private-label branded line that meets original OE specs.
The drums will be the same models that will be used at the factory production level on new trucks starting later this year, Navistar said.
“Our customers have become increasingly focused on reducing their operating costs-per-mile, and we have engineered these drums to support that focus, while providing the premium quality and value they expect from International,” said Joe Felicelli, product marketing manager for Navistar Parts. “These brake drums will give drivers consistent, dependable performance at a competitive price.”
The brake drums are manufactured to SAE and ASTM standards, and many of the models feature machined-to-balance engineering and lean manufacturing techniques, resulting in 2-4 lbs. of weight savings per drum, and improved heat dissipation when compared to traditional designs, the company said.
The drums are available with a one-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
