Kenworth T170 available with under-cab fuel tanks

Kenworth Truck Co. has announced the T170 Class 5 model can now be ordered with an optional 30-gallon under-cab fuel tank

Kenworth Truck Co. has announced the T170 Class 5 model can now be ordered with an optional 30-gallon under-cab fuel tank, either as a single, right-hand side tank or dual right-hand and left-hand side units.

Customers who wish to install the dual 30-gallon tank configuration will also need to install an in-cab battery box, which can be temporarily mounted across the frame rails by Kenworth with final installation done by a body builder.

The T170--designed for P&D, general freight, leasing and rental, towing and recovery, landscaping, and construction applications--has a GVWR up to 19,500 lbs, and is powered by a Paccar PX-6 engine rated at 200 hp and 520 ft-lb of torque.
