Mack Truck’s new Macungie Assembly Operation in Pennsylvania is now a fully functioning production line as the first Pinnacle tractor rolled off the line on Aug. 13.
Production of the Pinnacle is being transferred to Macungie from the New River Valley plant in Dublin, VA, to take advantage of “consolidated assembly and to create a brand-specific environment for Mack customers,” the company said.
Mack’s entire heavy-duty lineup of Granite, TerraPro, Titan by Mack and now Pinnacle models are built in Macungie. The Pinnacle line is expected to be fully produced in Macungie by the end of November.
The first 1,000 Pinnacle models built in Macungie will be adorned with a special Mack Bulldog decal on their hoods, the company said.
