Tire locator adds trip planning information

An online truck-tire dealer locator from Michelin Americas Truck Tires has been updated to include up-to-date information about traffic conditions, construction, restaurants, hotels and even weather in the areas around the dealers. The locator and information site is available in Spanish and French as well as English.

“Our goal for the new dealer locator is to make it easy for truckers to plan their trips,” said Marc Laferriere, VP of marketing for the Michelin truck tire operation. “With this tool, truckers will be able to see not only the locations of Michelin tire dealers, retread shops or service providers along their way, but also where they might want to eat or sleep, and what the weather will be like.”

In addition to maps, street views and directions to any Michelin service provider or truck stop location, the new online locator provides detailed information about specific services offerd, along with local hotels and restaurants. It can also provide current traffic conditions, accident information, road construction and the weather for each service provider’s surrounding area.
