According to the company, the FD835 features an aggressive block tread pattern for traction, thirsty angle sipes for wet-surface handling, and a deep open shoulder design

Firestone has released the FD835 on/off-highway drive tire, designed for superior traction and removal mileage in severe-service applications such as logging, construction, mining, refuse and oil field service, the company says.

According to the company, the FD835 features an aggressive block tread pattern for traction, thirsty angle sipes for wet-surface handling, and a deep open shoulder design for traction on soft surfaces. The FD835 also features a 1-in.-deep tread, a block radial with four steel belts and all-steel casing, split-belt construction, and computer-designed groove shapes. It is available in the 11R24.5 size with an “H” load rating, usable up to 65 mph.
