The Pavestone Co. has selected the Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS) by PSI for installation on its new trailer purchases from Transcraft Corp. The purchase order included Transcraft’s 100,000th trailer, a TL-2000H 45-ft. x 102-in. tandem slider. That was delivered to Pavestone during a celebration marking this milestone event.

Pavestone said it specs MTIS on all its trailers because of the cost savings to its fleet. MTIS by PSI continuously monitors air pressure in every trailer and automatically maintains the manufacturer’s recommended tire inflation. This maximizes tire life and reduces maintenance costs associated with underinflated tires. The fleet said it has seen substantial fuel savings using the system.
