Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC will represent the transportation industry on panel discussions at two national anti-counterfeiting conferences sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Legal IQ. The conferences, to be held on Sept. 28 in Washington, DC, and Oct. 26 in New York, will address the impact of intellectual property theft on the supply chain and on consumer safety.
The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Assn. (MEMA), New Balance and Ernst & Young will also send representatives to the conference. A charter member of the MEMA Brand Protection Council, Bendix has successfully instituted its own program, which focuses on extensive education and outreach, intellectual property protection, and enforcement of patents and trademarks.
“We’re honored to represent our industry and pleased with the increased attention the issue of intellectual property theft is receiving, particularly in how it impacts the commercial vehicle industry,” said Andy Cifranic, Bendix brand manager, who will speak at the conferences.
