Hendrickson Bumper and Trim has announced its lightweight Aero Clad bumper is now available as a production option on International ProStar tractors. Made of stainless-clad aluminum, Aero Clad is a fixed-mount bumper that maximizes style, durability, ground clearance and weight savings for this vehicle, said Hendrickson.
Made by bonding high strength, corrosion resistant stainless steel to lightweight aluminum then polishing to a bright mirror finish, Aero Clad bumpers offer a durable, lightweight and environmentally friendly alternative to chrome plating, said the company.
Using state of the art metal forming and advanced materials, according to Hendrickson, the Aero Clad bumper for the ProStar provides up to 2.75 in. of improved ground clearances, making it ideal for vocational applications.
Backed by a five-year limited corrosion warranty, the bright mirror finish is 10 times thicker than chrome and resists corrosion, peeling, cracking, pitting and fading, said the manufacturer.
