The new LvL One 24.5 in. aluminum wheel from Alcoa Wheel and Transportation Products offers a 450 lbs. higher load rating than alternative steel options, the company said. Weighing 30 lbs. less than a typical steel wheel in the 24.5 x 8.25 in. category, the wheel comes with a 7,850 lbs. rating, highest in the class, Alcoa said.

Designed for vocational, construction and over-the-road trailers, the wheel, available for load range H tires, offers additional fuel savings through a 540-lb. savings over steel wheels on an 18-wheel truck.

“In addition to those benefits, the 24.5 in LvL One wheel looks outstanding,” Tim Myers, president, said. “Our exclusive dual-side clean buff finish makes [it] much brighter than any competitive aluminum wheel in its class. It also eliminates single-side, double-wheel ordering, reducing inventory as [it] can be mounted on any standard tractor or trailer axle position.”
