Delco Remy has introduced the 28SI high output alternator, which the company said is ideal for vehicles that require higher electrical output while reducing weight, improving temperature capability and saving fuel

Delco Remy has introduced the 28SI high output alternator, which the company said is ideal for vehicles that require higher electrical output while reducing weight, improving temperature capability and saving fuel.

According to the company, higher electrical output vehicles that do not use a high-output alternator will likely suffer premature failures because of high under-hood engine temperatures.

The 28SI alternator includes 180 and 200 amp options with three mounting styles, highly accurate voltage readings, and dual internal fans design for alternator protection, Delco Remy said.
