According to Hunter Engineering Co., its new DSP506T heavy-duty wheel sensors for the 811T heavy-duty alignment systems provide instantaneous data transfer. Each sensor contains a high-speed microprocessor that processes data at each wheel before sending the information to the console.
Optional cordless models use XF-Radio technology to wirelessly connect the sensors to the console. The batteries in the cordless sensors provide power for a full day of continuous operation and are not “hot-swappable,” says Hunter, meaning compensation measurements will not be lost while batteries are replaced. And the cordless sensors can be recharged between jobs by the patented Docking Stations attached to the alignment cabinet.
Hunter points out that its 81T alignment system incorporates the firm's exclusive WinAlign HD software and a powerful computer with Windows XP operating system to delivers alignment features specifically designed for heavy-duty truck, trailer and bus applications. www.hunter.com
