The Commercial Vehicle Systems division of Dana Corp. is now offering a 2.53 ratio option for its S190 single-drive axle. According to Dana, the faster axle ratio was designed to maximize fuel efficiency with the newer generation of emissions-friendly engines that operate best at lower rpms. To accommodate a variety of vehicle configurations, however, the S190 line will be available in 22 ratio options

The Commercial Vehicle Systems division of Dana Corp. is now offering a 2.53 ratio option for its S190 single-drive axle. According to Dana, the faster axle ratio was designed to “maximize fuel efficiency with the newer generation of emissions-friendly engines that operate best at lower rpms.

To accommodate a variety of vehicle configurations, however, the S190 line will be available in 22 ratio options — ranging from 2.53 to 7.83.
