Mitsubishi Fuso has redesigned the cab for its 2005 medium-duty vehicles, with particular emphasis on increasing comfort and reducing driver fatigue.

Cabs for the FE120, FE145, FE180, as well as the FG140 4WD model, are designed to accommodate a 6-ft. tall driver and two assistants.

The OEM has moved the transmission shifter to the dash and placed the parking brake lever between the seats, making it easier for drivers to exit on the curbside, and giving passengers more legroom.

All seats recline, and the passenger seat can fold forward, providing a flat work surface.

The FE 145 is also available in a Crew Cab configuration that has four full-access doors and seats seven.

The new cab design incorporates a number of features that address driver fatigue. Among them are a one-touch tilt/telescoping steering wheel adjustment; high-mount HVAC vents; an adjustable driver's armrest; noise-reducing door seals; tinted windshields; and power window and door locks.
