LOUISVILLE. Navistar announced the launch of a new global brand of proprietary components—MaxxPower—at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The OEM said MaxxPower-brand components will soon be available on International trucks, IC Bus school and commercial buses, and Workhorse chassis products.

“The launch of our new MaxxPower line of components creates a tremendous opportunity to provide the quality and value our customers are looking for,” said Jack Allen, president of Navistar’s North American Truck Group. “Delivering fully-integrated products and solutions designed from the outset for our vehicles will help deliver maximum performance and reliability.”

According to Allen, MaxxPower products are engineered and tested to meet the demands of a wide variety of vocations and applications “to ensure maximum value for the customer.” He said these products will be designed and engineered by and for Navistar as original equipment and factory-installed components. MaxxPower components will backed by Navistar’s comprehensive distribution network with replacement parts and warranty through the International, IC Bus and Workhorse dealer networks.

The MaxxPower line will include drive train and suspension components as well as such optional equipment as auxiliary no-idle solutions. The first offerings will include the MaxxPower Front Air Suspension and MaxxPower Battery Powered HVAC No-Idle Solution, both of which will be available for International ProStar and LoneStar tractors. Future products will be released throughout the year.
