Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp has released the M154 all-steel tire for medium trucks

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp has released the M154 all-steel tire for medium trucks, created using the company’s e-balance design and featuring a stiffer belt package and bead construction, the tire maker said.

According to the company, the M154 offers improved tire life, resistance to irregular wear, and improves fuel consumption. The tread design provides even contact pressure distribution, and its 22/32nd deep five-rib design provides superior water drainage for wet weather traction, said Toyo.

The M154 also prevents uneven wear through a straight differential rib in its tread, and sipes in the outer groove help prevent ‘river wear’ and a stone ejector in the center tread limits stone retention, Toyo said.

The M154 will be available in a 295/75R22.5 size this spring; 285/75R24.5 in the summer; 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 in both LRG and LRH versions in the fall and 265/75R22.5 and 245/75R22.5 near the end of 2008.
