Reefer drivers can now determine whether or not their trailer refrigeration systems are operating properly simply by looking in the rear-view mirror.

Mounted on the front of the trailer, Carrier Transicold's new auto-dimming LED light bar provides instant feedback about single- and multi-temp refrigeration systems. Green lights indicate the system is running normally, while amber serves as a warning that it needs to be checked.

According to the company, the unit's auto-dimming feature adjusts light output to match outdoor conditions. In addition, LED technology means that the lights will be visible even in bright sunlight or against reflective backgrounds.

The light bar can be attached directly to the trailer or bracket mounted.
