Yokohama Tire Corp., in response to continued record increases in raw materials in energy, has announced it plans on increasing the price of medium truck tires
    Dec. 4, 2007

Yokohama Tire Corp., in response to continued record increases in raw materials in energy, has announced it plans on increasing the price of medium truck tires and light truck commercial tires up to 4% effective January 1, 2008.

The company will also increase Off-the-Road (OTR) tires up to 5% and consumer tires up to 7%. All three divisions will also include in-line adjustments, to be announced at a later date.

“In addition to raw materials, we’re also seeing record-high transportation and energy costs,” said Dan King, Yokohama vp of sales. “Unfortunately, Yokohama’s pricing must reflect these costs.”
