Air-Weigh now offers an onboard scale specifically designed for auto haulers. A combination of its 5800 Series in-dash tractor scale kit and standard 5802 Series trailer scale, the Air-Weigh Auto-Hauler scale provides weights for steer, drive and trailer axles, as well as GVW and net payload, according to the company.

Of particular importance for auto haulers is the addition of a deflector sensor for the steer axle, Air Weigh noted, since loading vehicles onto stinger head ramps puts more weight on the steer and drive axles than is the case with van or flatbed trailers.

The scale can be ordered from Air-Weigh or any Air-Weigh dealer.
