Glacier Computer has started shipments of its Ridgeline W200 wearable, hands-free computer, which is designed to maximize productivity.

The W200 is made of a reinforced magnesium alloy and weighs just 10.2 oz. Shaped to the contours of the arm, the computer is equipped with a 3.5-in. color display with touchscreen, backlit keyboard and a swappable battery pack. Using the Windows CE or Linux operating systems, the unit can be quickly configured to access any remote host system through integrated wired or wireless interfaces. It includes plug and play support for WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS modules.

“The W200 is a great complement to our Ridgeline Series of portable computers,” said John Geary, vp of sales.
