Thermo King's new electric auxiliary idle reduction and temperature management system TriPac E has been recognized as an EPA SmartWay verified technology, the company has announced.

Thermo King's engine-based TriPac system has also been verified by SmartWay.

“Thermo King continues to drive innovation for our customers and the APU marketplace by providing ‘Choice,'” says Dwayne Cowan, APU manager.

The battery-powered TriPac E system system is designed to maintain comfortable temperature conditions in the truck cab without running an engine.
