In response to increases in the cost of raw materials, energy and transportation, Michelin North America has announced price increases for commercial truck tires as well as for passenger cars and light trucks.
Prices will increase up to 8% on Michelin and BFGoodrich brand commercial truck replacement tires and Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) retreads sold in the U.S. effective Sept. 1, 2008.
The company also announced up to a 12% increase on Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal tires sold in the United States for passenger cars and light trucks effective Sept. 1, 2008.
