Isuzu has announced its 2009 N-Series line-up of low cab forward trucks, highlighted by an optional limited slip differential that distributes torque evenly to the wheels. The features aim to increase driver productivity, enhance fuel economy and reduce emissions.

Improvements to the front suspensions, spring rates, steering and cab mount bushings have created a smoother ride, Isuzu said. Each model includes a data recording module that provides a vehicle health report showing the condition of the engine, transmission, emissions and brakes, plus it will monitor fuel economy and driver operating habits.

The N-Series includes an electronic braking distribution system that balances brake pressure to all wheels by automatically adjusting to the load's weight distribution. Customers can choose wheelbases from 109 to 212 in. that will be able to handle bodies from 10 to 24 ft. in length. GVWR offerings range from 12,000 to 19,500 lbs.

The cabs offer storage space in seat backs, dashboard, glove box, overhead storage shelves and rear storage organizer.

The overhead cam 5.2L 4H turbocharged, intercooled, diesel delivers 205 hp. at 2,400 rpm with 441 lbs.-ft. of torque at 1,850 rpm. It is mated with an Aisin heavy-duty, 6-spd. automatic transmission with double overdrive.

The NPR, NPR HD and their crew cab models are also available with a Vortec 6.0L V8 gasoline engine with 325 hp. and 360 lbs.-ft. of torque, including a Hydra-Matic 4-spd. automatic with lockup torque converter. www.isuzucv.com
