Hyster Co. has introduced the Fortis forklift line, offering multiple powertrain configurations to meet specific applications and using customization to optimize productivity, dependability and cost, the company said. According to Hyster, the lift trucks have a capacity range of 2,000 lb. to 15,500 lb.

"The custom engineering of the Fortis series offers an advantage to lift truck users looking to maximize production for specific applications," said Paul Laroia, president of Hyster. "Designed for maximum durability and ease of maintenance, Fortis lift trucks are a great example of the rugged dependability embodied by Hyster products."

According to the company, the Fortis concept offers a tiered system of preconfigured engine-transmission bundles, allowing users the opportunity to select from a variety of packages. The series also includes a Pacesetter VSM industrial onboard computer designed to maximize uptime.
