Mobile Awareness has released its latest line of tire pressure monitoring system (TPSM) products geared toward commercial trucks, utility vehicles, and trailers—the MA-TPMS series.

It automatically and continuously monitors tire status, alerting the driver to abnormal conditions with an audible alert and LCD display indicator, the company said. It also monitors hazardous tire temperatures. The three warning settings are programmable by the user.

According the company, the system’s advantages include:

  • Tires do not require removal and remounting during installation of the sensor
  • Rugged and miniature valve-stem sensor transmitters are externally mounted
  • Design enables air in the tire to be refilled directly through the built-in valve stem, without removing the device
  • Estimated battery life of 7 to 10 years.
