The Supra 950MT refrigeration unit from Carrier Transicold improves on the capacity performance, serviceability and appearance of its predecessor, the Genesis R90, while delivering a lower sound output, according to the company.

The 950MT has a cooling capacity of 20,500 Btu/h at a setpoint of 0F at 100F ambient conditions, Carrier Transicold said, using separate SlimLine evaporators for each of the two cooling compartments located within the cargo area.

In addition, the unit features a dual-purpose standby motor that also works as an induction generator, providing power to run heaters and fans. It also contains an improved belt tensioning system and an extended oil drain fitting, the company said.
