Device monitors performance of engine block heater
Feb. 3, 2012
JoSa Enterprises has released a new product that is designed to monitor a truck’s engine block heater to ensure it will start a truck in cold weather when needed.
The Power-Block will tell the driver the AC voltage coming out of the engine block heater’s cord, the heater’s efficiency, and if the block heater is functioning correctly. The device shows a reading to indicate if there may be a problem. Readings above 1,900 or below 500 watts are indicative of an issue.
Waterproof, weatherproof, and shockproof, the Power-Block can also check the performance of a truck’s oil pan heater, battery heater, fuel heater, or hydraulic tank heater, the company said.
