• Advanced trailer tester

    March 15, 2012

Innovative Products of America has updated its Super Mutt trailer tester to provide remote controlled operation when testing lights and air brakes.

Dubbed the Super Mutt Deluxe, the new tester guides a technician through 91 inspection points while placing a load on the trailer’s electrical circuits to identify wiring problems that can oftentimes be missed during a routine inspection.

The Super Mutt Deluxe tests lights, ABS, and air brakes, the company said. The diagnostic program used identifies shorted, crossed and open circuits while differentiating between poor wire and chassis grounds. It also provides amperage display, audio feedback, automatic, manual and remote control operation.

The wireless remote allows a single technician to apply brakes from the rear of the trailer while performing visual and mechanical inspections in real time.  ABS codes can be pulled from Wabco and Bendix TABS-6 systems through the use of the MUTT control panel.
