Police using a helicopter to find a stolen 26-ft.-long truck spotted a man using a bulldozer to bury the vehicle in a western New York sand pit, according to a report in the “Weird News” section of the Huffington Post.
The box truck was stolen from a business in Wayne County, NY, and police were tipped that the vehicle may have been taken to Murray, NY, 25 mi. west of Rochester.
Investigators said when they flew over the sand pit, the owner’s son was in the process of burying the stolen truck using a bulldozer.
No one has been charged in the theft and the investigation is continuing, police said.
