• Removable hoses added to BatRF tire pressure monitoring systems

    May 11, 2012

BatRF by Stemco has added removable hoses to the AirBat heavy duty tire pressure monitoring system. The hoses connect the sensor body to the valve stems.

“At Stemco, one of our driving principles is to simplify the lives of technicians,” said Bob Montgomery, vice president of Intelligent Transportation Systems for Stemco. “This change is a direct result of feedback from tire technicians, and will help ensure that when a tire protected by AirBat TPMS is serviced, the system will remain in place and effective when the truck hits the road.”

The new design is more rugged and simplifies the servicing of tires, the company said. Convenient fill ports on the hose allow tires to be inflated or checked with a manual gauge without disconnecting the sensor.
