The two-way normally closed valves can be incorporated into the vehicle’s heating and cooling system to regulate accessory equipment, according to the company. Applications typically include cab heating systems; urea tank heaters on selective catalytic reduction systems for emissions control; and any other auxiliary system where control of glycol or other water-based media is required.

The valves that control glycol are constructed with brass bodies and EPDM seals and are available in 12 and 24 VDC. They can operate in the pressure range from 3 to 44 PSI (0.2 to 3 bar) with an ambient temperature range of – 40 deg. F to 180 deg. F, and media temperature range from – 40 deg. F to 230 deg. F.

The watertight electrical connection is IP67 and IP6K9K rated with the proper mating connectors installed.
