Meritor has been honored with four quality achievement awards from Paccar for its outstanding quality control at its manufacturing facilities.

The 2011 Quality Achievement Award from Paccar was given to Meritor facilities in Forest City, NC; Newark, OH; Laurinburg, NC; and Manning, SC.

“We are proud of each Meritor facility that received the award,” said Chris Villavarayan, vice president, global manufacturing and supply chain management, Meritor. “Meritor is committed to providing the highest quality products year after year, meeting critical global standards for quality, reliability, and performance for our customers around the world, and this quality award serves to validate our efforts.”

The awards are given to suppliers that achieve a defect rate of 50 parts per million (PPM) or less during 2011.

Meritor supplies axles, braking systems, and other drivetrain components for Paccar’s Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF trucks.
