Louisville, KY. Cooper Standard’s Performance Products Group chose the Mid-America Trucking Show to announce the company’s intention to significantly expand its footprint in the commercial vehicle market segment. They displayed their sealing and exterior trim products, fluid delivery systems, thermal and emissions systems, and anti-vibration solutions at the show and hosted a reception to celebrate their new initiative.
“By leveraging our established product portfolio, engineering capabilities and manufacturing expertise, Cooper Standard is building upon our current industry relationships to further grow in the global commercial vehicle market,” Keith Stephenson, chief operating officer for Cooper Standard, said. “We’re dedicated to applying our established knowledge to provide the products that OEMs and suppliers need to meet the emerging market demands, as well as the performance and reliability requirements of their customers.”
Stephenson told Fleet Owner that the company is very serious about the commercial market and has already made “significant investments” in preparation for this launch. The Performance Products Group is built upon the expertise and technology of parent company Cooper Standard to serve adjacent markets, such as commercial vehicle, off-highway and other specialty markets.
To accelerate their further growth in the commercial vehicle segment, Cooper Standard has created a dedicated website for markets served by the Performance Products Group. In addition, they have a dedicated sales, engineering and support structure for the group, as well as an industry-specific production facility.
Cooper Standard employs more than 22,000 people globally and operates in 19 countries around the world.
