Crete Carrier Corp. and Shaffer Trucking announced that renovations have been completed on its Indianapolis Trucking Jobs terminal, providing improved driver amenities including a driver training room, driver restrooms, showers, laundry, lunch and break rooms and sleeping quarters.
The company originally opened the doors to its Indianapolis location in January 2011. At the time of purchase, however, the new facility had limited driver amenities.
“The new facility was purchased and designed with our drivers and operations in mind,” said Tim Aschoff, vice president of risk management and general counsel at Crete Carrier Corp. “The location is easy to access, the interior amenities provide drivers all that is needed to handle their everyday needs in a comfortable atmosphere, and there are plenty of parking spaces with ample room to move around the property.”
The truck driving jobs terminal, located on the west side of Indianapolis, sits next to Interstate 465 and Sam Jones Expressway, and can be accessed using Sam Jones Expressway west to Executive Dr. or Lynhurst Dr. The physical address is 5730 Fortune Circle West Dr., Indianapolis, IN, and it is built on 6 acres of fenced land that includes an office and tractor/trailer shop. The building itself is 30,000 sq. ft.; the shop has 10 drive-thru bays, and provides access to hard surface, lighted parking.
Founded in 1937, Crete Carrier, along with subsidiaries Shaffer Trucking and Hunt Transportation, ranks as one of the largest privately owned trucking companies in the country.
