Oliver Rubber releases SmartWay trailer retread

June 18, 2013

Oliver Rubber has launched the Vantage Trailer II, an EPA SmartWay verified trailer procure retread. The Vantage Trailer II is designed for long-haul, over-the-road applications.

“The Vantage Trailer II demonstrates the strength of Oliver’s experience,” said Philip Boarts, Oliver product category manager. “This new retread provides excellent fuel economy, treadwear and traction.”

Oliver said its compounding expertise delivers a low rolling resistant retread. The contact area sustains a solid footprint, resulting in excellent tread life. The rounded shoulders reduce turning and corner stress and help resist curb damage, it added. Tread depth of 13/32nd includes straight grooves designed for free-rolling positions that result in exceptional lateral traction.

This retread is available with or without Serra-Sipes for even greater traction and features Oliver’s exclusive VDI plus feature. VDI plus acts as a visual depth indicator, plus it resists the retention of road debris and helps in the enforcement of pull points, the company pointed out.

The Vantage Trailer II is available in four sizes:  205, 210, 220 and 230.
