Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer to supply engine conversion kits

July 24, 2013

Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer has signed a dealer agreement with NGV Motori USA to supply NGV aftermarket conversion kits and engines.

NGV Motori is an OEM in the aftermarket conversion kit and engines field with U.S. facilities in New Jersey and Virginia. Headquartered in Reggio, Italy, the company has been a leader in the prototype, production, and supply of conversion kits for aftermarket engines with more than 250,000 conversions in over 25 countries completed to date, Stoops said.

The current NGV Motori selection of kits and engines are available in both diesel to CNG for dedicated packages and for gasoline to CNG for dedicated, dual fuel and bi-fuel packages.  With NGV Motori, Stoops will be prototyping and selling EPA-approved conversion packages, installing CNG re-powered engines and high pressure fueling tanks, along with providing CNG powered engines and supplying CNG parts to consumers across the nation.

“The one thing that is constant with the trucking industry is change. At Stoops Freightliner we are always looking for opportunities to support our customers changing requirements. With the advent of our agreement with NGV Motori this supplies us with another tool to assist our customers in going green,” said Mike Comer, manager of heavy duty equipment sales at Stoops.
