Users of the new “Freightliner Hauler Challenge: Journey to Homestead,” app in September have a chance to win four all-expense paid trips to Florida for a chance to see the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion be crowned at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.
The prize is part of the company’s Freightliner Hauler Challenge sweepstakes, running Sept. 1-28, 2013.
According to Freightliner, the app provides an entertaining and interactive experience that puts users in the driver’s seat of a Freightliner truck that transports NASCAR teams across virtual routes to the final race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway. To date, almost 700,000 users have downloaded the game.
The updated version of the Freightliner Hauler Challenge app adds the Freightliner Cascadia 113 natural gas (NG) tractor to the lineup of truck models that users can select as they maneuver through roads and obstacles, leading to the final NASCAR-sanctioned race in Homestead. The app also features a dealer locator, Freightliner Trucks product information and much more.
“The addition of the Cascadia 113 NG to the Hauler Challenge lineup adds another element of fun and interest to the game,” said Mary Aufdemberg, director of product marketing for Freightliner Trucks. “It also helps users learn more about our newest product, while also highlighting the environmental benefits of our alternative fuel solutions.”
Grand prizes and secondary prizes – team-signed apparel packages – will be given away each week through Sept. 28, 2013. Additional prizes will be awarded on the Freightliner Trucks’ Facebook page www.facebook.com/freightliner and Twitter feed, @freightliner.
