A new all-position radial tire from Bridgestone Commercial Solutions is designed for high-scrub applications such as regional and pickup-and-delivery operation. The R268 is part of the company’s Ecopia product line. It is a SmartWay verified and CARB-complaint product.
A unique tread design provides the R268 with protective features to ensure the casing will resist damage from curbing. There is also a wave channel design that reduces groove bottom strain, combating the initiation and spread of irregular wear, Bridgestone said.
The company pointed out that the R268’s ribs are proportioned for added stiffness, helping to reduce irregular wear throughout the footprint, and a NanoPro-Tech compound limits energy loss for improved rolling resistance and optimum fuel efficiency.
The R268 Ecopia is available in size 295/75R22.5. Addtional sizes will launch in the coming months.
