CRST International has changed the name of Specialized Transportation Inc. (STI), which it acquired in 2011, to CRST Specialized Transportation. The company is a provider of customized supply chain solutions for products that require high touch support, special handling and equipment, and value added on-site services.
As CRST Specialized Transportation, the business unit will continue the focus in supporting customers in the technology, healthcare, industrial, furniture, store fixtures, retail, and financial services markets.
“We wanted to formally integrate STI into the CRST family of companies to solidify the synergy between it and our other operating companies, which include expedited van, flatbed, dedicated fleet, temperature controlled and logistics services,” said Dave Rusch, CRST president and CEO. “CRST has become one of the largest and most diversified transportation companies in the U.S. and our goal is to provide integrated and seamless delivery to our customers through our CRST branded transportation services.”
