• CAT Scale opens 1,500th truck scale

    Feb. 19, 2014

CAT Scale Co. recently opened its 1,500th truck scale, this one at a Love’s Country Store on I-5 at Exit 260 in Springville, Utah.

The company offers an unconditional guarantee which covers any overweight fines for drivers who weight their vehicles on a CAT Scale prior to receiving a citation. If a driver receives an overweight fine, CAT Scale will either pay the fine or appear in court with the driver as an expert witness in order to get the fine dismissed.

“When we started CAT Scale I don’t think my dad ever envisioned we’d have 1,500 scales in operation,” says Delia Moon Meier, senior vice president.  “We appreciate our continued partnership with Love’s Country Stores and the Love Family.”

The first CAT Scale was installed in 1977 in South Holland, IL. In 1988, there were 28 CAT Scales in existence.  The 1,500 scales are located in 47 states and 7 Canadian provinces.
