• CNG tube bending automated

    March 27, 2014

LOUISVILLE. AFV Natural Gas Fuel Systems has introduced an automated process for bending compressed natural gas (CNG) tubing. To date, bending of the tubes has been done by hand, leading to consistency, tolerance and repeatability issues for large production runs, the company said.

The announcement was made this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show.

AFV works with original equipment manufacturers, converters and upfitters. AFV provides application design assistance, reverse engineering prototyping, value added engineering, design for manufacturability & assembly, product leak/pressure testing, documented manufacturing & quality data, and supply chain & Inventory management solutions.
